Coach Fred

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 6, 2026

Coach Fred is a local-first habit coaching application. You can use its core features without creating an account. Optional Cloud Sync is available when you choose to sign in.

Information stored in your browser

Coach Fred stores information you enter or create in your browser, including profile names, selected habits, Baby Steps, progress history, Life Reviews, reminder preferences, rankings, drafts, and custom content. It also uses an offline cache so the application can remain available when your connection is interrupted.

Google sign-in and Cloud Sync

If you select Continue with Google, Google provides a short-lived identity token to Coach Fred. Coach Fred sends that token and a one-time security nonce to Supabase Auth, which verifies it and returns the Cloud Sync session. Basic account identity may include your email address, name, and profile information. The Google identity token and nonce are not retained. Coach Fred does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendars, or your Google password.

After sign-in, the browser stores a Supabase authentication session needed for Cloud Sync. Profile information you use while signed in may be stored in Coach Fred's Supabase project and synchronized with other signed-in devices. Coach Fred retains a common merge baseline and may keep up to five local recovery snapshots for a profile.

How information is used

Information is used to provide Coach Fred's habit, progress, reminder, recovery, and optional synchronization features. Coach Fred does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or add third-party behavioral analytics.

Service providers

Google provides account authentication, Supabase provides authentication and optional cloud storage, and Vercel hosts the application. These providers may process ordinary account, network, and technical information needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy policies.
